Jack In The Box

Jack In The Box is one of the most prolific and successful burger chains in the world and they do a remarkable job with the largest menu offered by any burger chain. They do it consistently which is amazing considering the thousands of locations all over the globe that offer the same extensive menu. Their burgers are among the best offered by a large chain in my opinion and they appear to use quality ingredients wherever they operate to achieve that consistency. They offer almost a dozen burger variations as well a handful of chicken, fish and specialty sandwiches along with taco’s, salads, snacks, breakfast and a value menu that is also more diverse than the competition. Their ‘quarter pounder’ is a standard for the chain operators and one of the best, but they excel in my opinion with their various interpretations and presentations including the sourdough jack and their ‘philly cheesesteak’ among others. They have a number of salads, soups, chili, desserts and half a dozen breakfast meals as well as shakes and juices to go along with sodas and waters. They were one of the first large chains to offer onion rings and theirs are damned good and a huge seller for them, but like all the big chains their menu’s tend to play a big role in the enlarging of America with calorie overload and heart hating preparation methods and ingredients.
Their fries for some reason have never been very good in my opinion, but they’re the victim of a corporate decision to not throw out fries that might have outlived their peak moment of tastiness. Another problem I’ve frequently had at many Jack In The Box locations is poor English language skills which often leads to incorrect orders and angry customers. Overall, I give this chain the highest marks for their ambitious and well served menu and the quality of their ingredients. I also like their commercials and have adopted Jack like a brother.
