The Royal Exchange

Royal Exchange
301 Sacramento Street, San Francisco, CA
415-956-1503

Deep in the canyons of the financial district is this well worn and trustworthy pub like institution that has putting out robust burgers for more than a quarter century. It boasts the biggest bar in San Francisco and a pretty good burger. The menu is on a ticker tape piece of paper which probably has no meaning to today’s young stockbrokers who make up a large part of the clientele here and it’s simple and straight forward. The ingredients are good, not the best, but good and the food is well prepared but this is really a pub that serves food rather than a restaurant that takes great pride in their food.

Staff is friendly and usually smiling like you might expect at an Irish Pub if you were traveling through Ireland, and its also usually crowded and loud with a lot of televisions blaring out sports from around the globe. Lot’s of young urban professionals venting tension and proudly making the scene round out this burger experience where food is just a part of a greater social phenomena.

Good fun place with dozens of draft beers, hundreds of great looking gals and guys as well as a pretty good burger.
